I’ve walked past this mural on the way to the Target a thousand times. It’s surrounded by familiar neighborhood finds like the bodega with the best $3 sandwiches ever, the Target (duh I just said that), the infamous Dallas BBQs and the winos shamelessly begging for your spare change (sir, there’s NO such thing). I never stopped until today. I’m thinking finding this mural was the world’s way of reminding me of all the gems we can find in the most unsuspecting places.
Kinda like these skinny jeans I found it Target (you like that plug, huh). I was challenged to head to my local Target and scope out the denim selections. I live in Flatbush, and to my detriment there is a Target within walking distance. I usually go there JUST for last minute groceries, home decor and Cheez Its.
I caught myself looking at the swimsuits (I’m dying for some beach activity) but I stayed strong and focused on the denim. I can remember back in the day shopping at Target for clothes, especially denim, was nothing more than a mom jeans treasure hunt. My how times have changed with the new Ava & Viv collection.
It’s clear that Target has been listening to my blogger boos Nicolette Mason, Gabi Gregg and Chasity Saunders. These jeans are amazing! And they might just win a spot as my favorite jeans. Mainly because (1) there’s plenty of space for my booty, (2) they don’t hug my muffin top too tight, (3) they’re soft like Unicorn hairs and (4) y’all see that distressed action going on! You can best believe I bought two pairs (read: “see the way my chubb rub is set up!”).
And guess what! Target thinks I’m cute *gasps*.
@gorgeousingrey Even if they don't win a spot, you still look great in them! 😉
