In my quest to find new dope bloggers I was reminded of how much I love to read. I love how people tell stories. We say that the Internet is saturated with the same content when in reality it’s that everyone is being lazy with their words. Everyone is aggregating content just to be the first person online to post it. The Internet would be much more pleasing if we all wrote with our honest minds instead of copying someone else’s. But I digress.
As I was looking for new bloggers, this week I focused on the layout of the blog (it’s a pet peeve of mine) and a unique perspective in the blogosphere.
1.) Blog Girlfriends
What’s better than one gorgeous Black blogger…FOUR gorgeous Black bloggers, DUH! This blog celebrates individuality, sisterhood and it’s just plain ole fabulous. Ain’t they cute?!
2.) Kaywanda Lamb
As a single teenage mom I felt alone! While I had LOTS of support from my family, it still felt like I was going through the journey alone. Like no one understood me! Kaywanda embraces that journey and gives tips to other single mothers on building the lives they want and love!
I love that Valerie’s original idea was to have a blog about family with her hubs but things didn’t work out (they’re still married y’all, LOL). Instead of chalking it up as a loss she changed the brand’s scope and now uses her platform to have candid conversations for women-centric topics. And her blog name is super memorable!
4.) Taniqua Russ
When I clicked on this blog I first thought, “yet another lifestyle blog!”. But I submerged my fingers a bit deeper and clicked on a few posts to learn that Taniqua is a dreamer. We should all be so lucky to dream right!
