Hair loss is one of the most common problem everyone faces. It usually starts off as something small due to stress, heredity and various other factors. There’s lots of hair loss treatments available in the market, but they are often expensive, or don’t give the desired results.


But, if you are patient and persistent enough, there are many DIY remedies, that not only help reduce the hair loss, but also prevent them. This post gives you a few such remedies which can to your rescue to fight hair loss and help you kick away your hair problems.

1. Fenugreek Seeds

Fenugreek supports the growth of hair, and rebuilds hair follicles. Soak the fenugreek seeds throughout the night, and grind them into a fine paste. Apply the paste like a mask all over your hair, right from the roots to the end of the tip. After about 40 minutes, rinse it off with some cold water. Follow the process every day for a month to not only lessen the hair fall, but also to get strong and shiny hair.

2. Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera has the ability to balance the pH levels of your hair, and thus enhance hair growth. The most conventional way to use aloe vera for hair treatment is to extract the pulp from the leaf, and apply it on your hair. Rinse it off after 15 minutes with cold water.

3. Neem


Neem, or otherwise known as Indian Lilac is rich in its antibacterial properties. It can help you get rid of dandruff and thereby, stimulate hair growth. All you have to do is boil neem leaves in the water until the volume is reduced to half and rinse your hair with the solution. Also, you can make a hair mask with Neem Paste and Aloe Vera Pulp together, drop in a few drops of oil (of your choice) and apply it on your scalp. Leave it for an hour and rinse it off with cold water. This would be a great remedy to follow once a week.

4. Onion Juice

As weird as it might sound and as pungent it might smell, onion is one of the best home remedies for hair loss issues. Extract the juice from the onions by grating or grinding it, whichever is convenient, and apply it all over your scalp by dabbing it with cotton carefully. Let it stay for about 30 minutes before rinsing it off.

5. Oil Massage

This is one of the most conventional ways of hair care. With our busy lives these days, we find it difficult to oil and massage hair regularly, but this is one of the most efficient ways to control hair loss. Massage your scalp with coconut, olive, or almond oil at least once in every week before taking a shower for the best results.

6. Egg White and Yogurt

Make a hair mask by mixing two egg whites, two table spoons of curd and some shikakai powder. Apply this paste on your scalp, let it stay for thirty minutes and rinse off with cold water. Repeat the process at least once in every week, and you’ll notice a visible difference.

Follow the above mention home remedies regularly, and you will soon notice a positive difference, and eventually be able to control hair fall issues to the fullest.

    I have tried Aloe Vera before and i can say that it is really effective in enhancing hair growth. I never thought that an onion can be use as a hair treatment. Thanks for the information!
