Over the weekend I attended an Evening With Eden: A Summer Hair Affair.

I’ve been using Eden Bodyworks for the last month (review coming soon) so I was really geeked to be able to meet the folks behind the brand and chat it up with fellow beautnistas about summer hair care.

The event was hosted by Kitiya King of Mischo Beauty. I’ve been following her blog since before I had a blog. I was really hype when she knew who I was. I’m feeling really special these days. We all met up in a small space inside the B. Smith restaurant in DC. Which is right neat the Capitol — such an awesome backdrop for the event. Much like other forum discussions, panelists were asked their opinions and then the floor was opened for questions. I walked away with a few tips …

Avoid mineral oil at all cost! Replace with jojoba or monoi oil all available in Eden Bodyworks products.

For healthy beach hair: leave in conditioner, shower cap and once you get home a deep conditioner.

Trim hair every 6-8 weeks; don’t go any longer than 10 weeks. And don’t forget the satin pillowcase. (I can’t say I agree with this one or follow it. My pillowcase is a cheap thread count of some random cotton and I haven’t trimmed my hair in a long time)

Try a hair product regimen for at least 3 weeks before you decide it doesn’t work.

About EDEN: EDEN BodyWorks™ was founded to address the consumer demand for all natural products that really work! EDEN products contain No Alcohol, No Petroleum, No Mineral Oils and No Sodium Sulfates. Reasonably priced, EDEN products are available at Walmart, Sally’s, and Curl Mart.

Hahahaha- loved the comment about the pillowcase and hair trimming! I so agree with you! And your hair always looks great so clearly, the hair trimming thing is not that serious.
