What better way to close out 2018 than with a new car? Ok so, technically this isn’t my new car (I did get a new car though, more on that top of the year!). But this was mine for about a week. Thanks to the fam over at Toyota I was able to feel brand new for 5 whole days and sport the 2019 Toyota C-HR. I know what you’re thinking…what does beauty girl know about cars? Well, question my car expertise no more! I’ve been driving since I was 16. I’ve owned quite a few cars and I can also drive a stick (!!!). The first car I bought I went to the dealership asked him to show me how to drive a manual shift and then drove off the lot with my new stick shift. My dad also worked for another car maker all his life actually making some of your favorite cars over the years. You could say I grew up under the hood.
Now that you have my credentials let’s talk about what the Internet says about the 2019 Toyota C-HR.
There are some different reports about what the C-HR means. But the C-HR could stand for Compact High Rider, Cross Hatch Run or Coupé High–Rider. Driving this beauty it was clear to me it’s a crossover kind of car. Meaning it’s kinda a car and kinda like a SUV, but much more like a car. There was a fair amount of room in the back for my tall friends and family and plenty of trunk space for all of our Christmas presents.
The seats have a nice little bucket action happen which were perfect for my 5’8 plus size frame. But I think the best part of this new car is that it starts at $22,500. Which means we can afford my loves!
This car is also super safe. It has a forward pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning with lane-keeping steering assist, blind-spot monitoring with rear-cross traffic alert, and even radar-guided cruise-control and automatic high beams. No accidents are happening on this car’s watch!
I may or may not have tested the speed on this baby and while you won’t be doing any drag racing it can hold up on the interstate.
This is the kinda of cuteness your husband brings home for your Christmas present. Thanks to Toyota for stepping in where my husband couldn’t (LOL).
