8 Winter Hairstyle Tips for Naturalistas [VIDEO]

19th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards - Arrivals

As the cold weather comes in, the Salvation Army bells ring, and we start thinking of goals for 2014 we know it’s officially winter. For many, this time of year is all about family gatherings, holiday parties, and ringing in the new year. So to get you beauties in the holiday spirit I’m sharing some holiday hairstyle tips for naturalistas (and naturalistos too).

But what if you’re like me and for whatever reason you don’t celebrate the holidays? No problem! In this video I’m sharing eight winter hairstyle tips for those rocking their natural hair, whether you’ve got big holiday plans or not.

Normally I record my YouTube videos in my bedroom. But I decided to make myself comfy in the living room like I had invited you all over to hang out, because you all are my new GIG family, right? Yay!Ā I’m used to doing my normal video welcome, but saying hi to the GIG fam was new for me. So after about 10 takes of straight gibberish, I finally got “Gorgeous in Grey” out of my mouth. I was on a roll until my neighbor decided to take her dogs for a walk. Fortunately, I was able to edit out my Shih Tzu going ballistic and almost knocking all of my lighting down as I’m screaming “cut it out and sit your narrow behind down NuNu!!!” Because there is a human trapped inside of her who completely understands English. Trust me. Maybe next time I’ll add a blopper reel :)

Anyway, enjoy the video!

I’m trying to give in time to treat my hair this season and I want to make a wig, Is it possible to treat my hair and also wear the wig from time to time ? Please let me know :) if you have done a post on that before please link me! Thank you very much

I personally don’t wear wigs (yet) but I know many who do. Because the wig can easily be taken on and off, you can care for your hair as you normally would. It’s best practice to continue to cleanse, condition and treat your hair while wearing wigs to ensure your hair’s health is maintained. Great question!
