Makeup, seminars, workshops, and the top artists in the world – what more could a beauty lover ask for? Perhaps and interview with celebrity makeup artists Sam Fine and Billy B. Yes I interviewed them both. And that was just a small highlight of my weekend.

The Makeup Show is the only all pro trade show around which hits major cities like LA, NYC, Chicago, and even Europe. On Sunday May 15th and Monday May 16th, over 6,000 attendees and I rushed to the Metropolitan Pavillion in NYC to get a VIPeek of the new spring/summer products launched exclusively at TMS. Not to mention grabbing a pretty nice discount, and being able to watch/gawk some of the best artists in the world do makeup demonstrations.

As an added bonus, I was able to attend the Bloggers Press Preview on Saturday where James Vincent shared some of his favorite products. A few of which that each blogger received in the awesome swag bag (which I left in NYC at my besties home). He even added a little comic relief to a somewhat stiff and quiet room. But once the doors opened on Sunday, it was no stopping us beauty lovers.

My Sunday started with an interview with Sam Fine. I was way too nervous since it was raining makeup kits and cameras outside, I was running extremely late, I hadn’t had my morning cup of coffee, and I kinda bragged about my interviewing skills via twitter – and he replied with:

AND BRING IT I DID! The interview was beyond magical and I know you guys will love him even more after my interview – I am still editing so stay tuned. Next I interviewed fab mua to Lady Gaga and other celebs, Billy B. For some reason I just knew he would be this uber fabulous Lady Gaga-ish creature, with some crazy get up on. Turns out he’s quite the introvert with no desire to be “famous”. A little shy so I will not be sharing that video, but instead I am transcribing for a blog post.

I barely had time to shop and check out what was on the 1st floor because my bff was in a makeup contest for Ruby Kisses. Of course she won but I was on bff duty and I had to photograph the experience.

If you’re a makeup artist and have never been to The Makeup Show, I recommend you figure out how to make it to the next one. It’s a must attend event full of amazing products, pro artists, and just a darn good time.

Check out more pics on my blog’s Facebook page.
