I’m not a stylist by any stretch of the word. I just love clothes, I have a crazy huge magazine collection, and a few of my good girlfriends have really great style. Usually my style inspiration comes from them, or piecing different trends that I feel comfortable wrapping around my curves. You would think that at 35 I would have a signature style right — nope I am total style chameleon. I haven’t sported this look out yet so don’t be surprised when you see me in it.
I am so glad that the Junior League of Baltimore reached out to me to attend this event. The Boutique Warehouse Sale had loads of great deals, delish cocktails, fabulous finger foods, and about a thousand shopaholics. Nothing like being in a room full of people addicted to shopping — just like you.
It was a little tricky getting to the building but once inside I was greeted by the ladies of JLB and to my surprise everyone noticed me thanks to my video of their press event (check it out here).
The Boutique Warehouse Sale, hosted by theJunior League of Baltimore, offers a unique shopping experience in the heart of Harbor East. Premier boutiques from the greater Baltimore area will be selling their sale merchandise at unbelievable prices and offering discounts on the latest items to hit their stores. Merchandise will include clothing, footwear, and accessories for men and women, as well as luxury home goods. Local restaurants will be serving small bites and sweet treats. The event will include fun raffle prizes and an enticing silent auction.
When Amazon’s MYHABIT, a membership-only shopping site offering up to 60% off on fashion items, first appeared on the net I admit I blogged about it but I was less than impressed. There was nothing for me to purchase. Except an occassional cute bag and MAYBE a size 11 shoe. The deals were great, but their selection didn’t appeal to the masses. Since their debut, that has changed.
REAL by MYHABIT is a regular occuring sale event offering stylish extended sizes and plus size brands for women. I’m totally geeked since most quailty plus size garments can range anywhere from $100 to $300. And when I say quailty, I mean when I wash it it’s the same size as when I brought it!
