YES, I am completely aware that it isn’t Friday but I cannot miss a good FBFF topic. Besides … better late than never right? Anyways, last Friday (Le Sigh) our bloggers asked “what are the top 5 Spring trends that you are looking forward to seeing/sporting this season?” We could pick anything from makeup, shoes, accessories, clothing, etc… Check out what I’m excited about.
Bright colors will be a trend I plan to have fun with this Spring. Keep in mind, this trend doesn’t mean wearing bright colors head to toe. Since spring has decided not to show up this season brighten up your look with haute red or pink lipstick, or a neon shoe or clutch. For me it’s a cool way to make my all typical black attire POP!
Although I have a love for heels my feet HATE them. Luckily this season loafers, oxfords, and saddle shoes are leaving the runway and coming straight to our closets. Pair these with my fav fall trends, the maxi dress and blazer, for an amazing contrast of styles. Flats are no longer wack!
Pleated skirts are that item I hated to wear as a child but loved to see on so many others. It gives a perfect volume to that girl who may not have been blessed with curves. Obviously this trend isn’t for me. If you’ve been blessed with a great body or been hitting the gym pair your pleats with a great cropped tee.
If I had to describe color blocking to someone (not in the fashion world) I would say it’s the most fun way to play with color. Pairing greens and blues, pinks and reds, and greys and browns. That old matchy matchy rule is OFFICIALLY out the door!
I can’t say I am actually a fan of wide legged pants just yet but they will go perfectly with my flats. They are the perfect pant to pair with suspenders or if you’re looking to give that “I’m tall” illusion.
So do tell! What trends are you dying to sport this Spring?
