The 46-year-old actress covers the August age-themed issue of Vogue. Just like Carrie Bradshaw in SATC. I love it. She chats about her lovely family, her career (as the former president and chief creative officer at Halston), and her view on fashion. Beyond rumors of a SATC prequel (gasps) she insists that she’s doing just fine without Carrie Bradshaw.
For the shoot with Mario Testino she plays dress up with some the most sought after designers – Bottega Veneta, Proenza Schouler, and Chanel. She evens brings her kids, 8-year-old James Wilkie and 2-year-old twins Loretta and Tabitha, along for the ride. I personally refuse to believe that Sarah and Carrie aren’t one in the same but Parker insists that’s not the case.
“[Carrie] Bradshaw’s life is nothing—nothing—like mine,” she said. “I loved playing her, and it changed my life in lots of wonderful ways, but I’m not a crazy shoe lady, I don’t think about fashion all day long, although I have a great respect for the industry.”
That image of her with her son and his friends is adorable! AMAZE-IN right? Read the full interview here.
Q: Are you a die hard SATC? And would you love or hate a SATC prequel?

I am a die hard SATC AND SJP fan. I wouldn’t say I’m dying to see the prequel but interested nonetheless. This spread is magical. She.Can.Do.No.Wrong. Especially with Mario Testino photographing her. Can’t wait to get my VOGUE this month

I adore SJP/Carrie and yes I am a die hard SATC fan. The prequel for me would have to include a healthy dose of the main leading ladies and crew. I am not sure how well it would be received with a totally different cast. I adore this shoot and like you Ty I am convinced that Carrie and SJP are one in the same. She just embodies the character so well! Man I wish I could be this stylish while juggling the kids and work and I had no clue about the Halston gig! Great post!
