Last night, a group of selected editors and bloggers braved the stormy down pour in New York and gathered in a room full of Sam Fine For Fashion Fair goodies. To my surprise the creator of Fashion Fair’s most buzzed about collection and celebrity makeup artist, Sam Fine, was actually on-site to host the evening!
I got a chance to chat with Sam for a few minutes and he explained that his collection was perfectly edited to speak to everyone. The colors he choose for his debut collection really compliment any complexion and style preference. You have a bold red, a vampy purple, and a vibrant orange–so many options for us brown girls… finally.

Sam is already thinking of his next collection and wants to incorporate a slate grey shadow or even a larger palette. I even threw out the idea of a blogger inspired collection. I mean, you guys want a Gorgeous In Grey nail polish right… I knew it!
I’m starting to think of more palettes and the other lip colors… and where to fill in some of the gaps as an artist. There’s always room to play. And dealing with such a wide range of consumers, I can really kind of dive in and speak to different color categories. – Sam Fine
