MyHabit.com, which went live today, is Amazon’s way to get in good with the fashion world. The membership-only shopping site will offer up to 60% off on fashion items. The first sales began today with designers DOO-RI, BADGLEY MISCHKA, and KENNETH JAY.
And of course the Badgley Mischka shoes AREN’T in a size 11, le sigh.
4 day shipping is free and as for returns, well there’s no cash/credit back. You will only receive store credits that can be used at Myhabit.com, Amazon.co, and Endless.com. Way to keep you locked in, huh. The site kinda reminds me of Gilt Group .. a lot. Right down to the web design.
I signed up and I never got a confirmation so I tried again only to receive a “you already registered” message. Membership is instant and not exclusive.

That would be great! We’d love to hear what you have to say about the shoe hunt. And kudos to the shoe designers that realize more women wear size 11+. Recently I was bummed because it seemed that the new Ivanka Trump shoe line only went to size 10 (the styles were pretty and the price point was good for well-made leather-soled shoes). I asked the company if they had any intentions on making size 11′s, and they did get back to me to say that Nordstrom does carry them (plus some 12′s in selected styles).
For me, the shoe design is critical because I’m average/short in height (5’5″). If you have larger feet, clunky styles can kill your look if they are just too big for your frame.
Do you also know if shoe designers generally size up their heel heights for larger sizes? It seems difficult to find a lower heel on large shoes.

I am yet another woman who wears an “extended size shoe” — an 11. I also need a slim (aaa) or extra slim (aaaa) width. It’s almost impossible to find, and when I do, I tend to buy a pair in every color. One of the other women mentioned that heel heights are scaled up for larger feet — well, so are widths! I walk out of almost every shoe I own because even with a quad, the heels are too wide. My daughter, who also wears an 11, has the same problem.
Are you listening, shoe manufacturers? We like cute shoes, too, not the same tired old styles trotted out year after year, and not just black and brown, either.
