If you are a faithful reader, and I know you are, you know that I usually only blog about the things I REALLY LOVE. Last night I was reminded by one of my tweethearts that as an aspiring journalist I should make an effort to find the words to write about things I don’t like so much as well. Insert Missoni for Target.
Naturally since I don’t wear patterns, colors, or zig zags I’ve never really been a fan of the brand. So the hype that has been created via blogs, twitter, facebook and such I wasn’t buying into it. I hadn’t even looked at the preview images for the collection. I said let me be fair and at least take a peek. AND WHAT DO YOU KNOW – I actually like a few pieces, plan to purchase that uber chic laptop cover, and I am SOOOO drooling over that luggage (and the bike)!
The collection hits Target (via store and online) on September 13. There are some online exclusives that will not be available in stores. Have a peek.

Q: So now that I have confessed the items I want, tell me what you’re gonna get!

that was really awesome advice! I have my eye on the scarves and blanket and though I did drool over the bike as well I will have to admire it from afar I suppose. Cant wait to see in person.

I hear you, Ty. Other than stripes and plaid, I don’t rock patterns that much. However, I am stanning for the Missoni for Traget scarves. Lovvve them!

I don’t mean to be cruel, just honest, but nearly all of these items look ridiculous to me. I guess the winter hats and maybe some of the luggage look fashionable, but the majority of the other items look incredibly ugly — like a cross between the worst plaid styles from the 80s and some kind of traditional Native American dress. I cannot understand what everyone who posted about how excited they are to buy this or that are thinking. It just makes me think Target really brainwashed a lot of women somehow. The only thing I can think of is that I am a guy. But really, if I saw a girl wearing one of the pieces shown here I would almost laugh — it seems so repulsive that I would think it must be a joke if I encountered someone wearing this on the street.
