Kanye West showed his debut womenswear collection today at a high school in Paris. Reports have it that celebrities like R&B singer Ciara, designers Joseph Altuzarra, Alexander Wang and Olivier Theyskens, Lindsay Lohan, and the Olsen twins attended Yeezy’s show which happened to be THE “IT” ticket to have out of all the fashion weeks. I guess Beyonce and Jay would have cause too must chaos?, le sigh.

The guest list was very tight and only included the “who’s who” of the fashion and entertainment industry. The rest of us sat near our laptops stalking NowFashion.com awaiting the live feed, whose server totally crashed! Attendees took to twitter with their love OR dislike of the collection AND can you believe that some D list bloggers even tried to steal those images as their tweets (we see you frauds!).

A nervous Kanye tells the media after the show, “The biggest conversation I hope I can end tonight is whole ‘celebrity designer’ thing,” he said. “That’s the biggest hurdle when you want to get amazing people to work for you.” (via Access Hollywood)

Kanye West didn’t reinvent the design wheel with some over the top collection as we all expected. It was a classic edgy blend between street wear and luxury materials. You could possibly say that you’ve seen this collection done by a few. Overall I think it was a really awesome effort on his behalf and I for one appreciate his vision!
