I’ve been nude my entire left. Nude lips that is. And for good reason. My mother and grandmother TOTALLY tainted my vision of ever doing any other color but nude. I can remember as a teen the older women in my family would say “red lips are for whores”. (gasps) Oh my! Clearly I was terrified of the red lip for all of my makeup career. But now that every celebrity is sported it. They all can’t be whores right? 


I ventured out to my local Rite Aid last Friday and picked up the cheapest red I could find. I figured if I never wore it again I wouldn’t be totally screwed. Apparently beauty brands have all noticed our new love for the reds because I had plenty to choose from. For $7.39 I found Maybelline’s Red Rivival. I am sold.

OMGeezy I felt uber sexy. I mean normally when I “put face on” I feel pretty spectacular anyway but this red lipstick … watch out now! The red I brought was kinda on the dark side which left me curious about other shades of red. I think I will do a “How To Wear A Red Lip” post.
