I’m getting kinda geeked. This season’s shows will be a little light for us. We (Iconography Magazine) plan to do more people watching. We’ve hired a videographer so I’ll be in and out of the tents catching all the reactions to the shows before and after. I am also covering a few backstage shows for my mentor Marie Denee, from The Curvy Fashionista, while she’s at MAGIC in Las Vegas. 

I love fashion week in February because we get a sneak peek at the fall collections to come. Fall is also my favorite time of the year. I love dressing in layers and the past few fall collections have brought tons of color. Check out my favorite runway reviews from Fall 2011 and a few of the trends I fell in love with!

My front row view at the Toni Francesc show!

Emilio Pucci Fall 2011

Emilio Pucci is the red carpet guru. Every fabulous runway dress you see, you can best believe it came an Emilio collection.

Diane von Furstenberg Fall 2011

DVF has perfected the dress like no other designer. Her silhouettes are so feminine but command your respect. Before I leave this earth I will be purchasing a DVF dress.

Michael Kors Fall 2011

Michael Kors debuted these sheer pants and I swear every style blogger ran to the nearest Bloomies and posted their version for an OOTD post. Pairing them with a big top is a friendly curvy girl look.

Marc by Marc Jacobs Fall 2011

Marc by Marc Jacobs brought in the crazy prints and loud colors. I can’t say I fell in love with this trend but when styled correctly on the right body shape, I love it. 

I am sooo pumped to see what’s new for this Fall. I have a feeling we’re gonna see tons of color again.
