One word — WOWsers!

I am literally still on a “Hey Girl Hey” inspirational high. I met soooo many amazing women this past week. Women who I admired and even a few who admired me. Go figure. I was really humbled and surprised by the amount of people who are familiar with GIG.

Check out who and what I saw.

First let me give you a little back story to how my trip started. I told myself this time around I would be better prepared. SO I spent all evening the night before trying on looks and packing. I won’t tell you guys that my suit case was still filled with items that I hadn’t sold at the Shop and Swap and I just threw them in a trash bag and plopped them on my couch. I managed to stuff 12 complete looks into my suit case. I went to bed at about 3am, worked a full day at the FTJ, and then came home after work to quickly grab my bags and I’m off catch my 745pm bus to NYC … NOT!

I left my bank card in the pair of pants that I wore to work earlier and they were conveniently hanging across my chair in my room almost 30 minutes away from the bus stop. I panicked. My bf says, “No worries, we will just go back and you can catch the next bus.” Ok, easy fix right … NOT. I go all the way home, get my bank card, and come back to stand in line to wait for the 845pm which arrives at 930pm and the bus driver only has room for 10 people. Oh and this is the last bus to NYC for the night. FML! I cried. Literally. I stood in the middle of the parking lot and cried. Oh and this is after I totally snapped at the bf for asking this dumb question — “They don’t have room for you”? Sir. Anyways, I go home and get myself together watch 2 movies and I finally get on the 2nd bus the next day.

As soon as I arrived to NY I had to get ready for the invite only press event. I was so irritated and filled with tude! But my blogger boo Marie Denee, The Curvy Fashionista, greeted me with a huge stinky smile per usual. I have no clue what I would have done without her.

The event was held at the 320 Studios where media attendees got a first look at all brands participating in FFFWeek. It totally put me in fashion show mode. After seeing all the brands and chatting with the designers, I was ready for the runway show to begin.
