[event recap #SonsiFFFWeek] Blogging 101 Panel & Curves, Connections & Cocktails

Day #2 for me was a doozy. I just felt horrible. I couldn’t remember what day it was. It felt like a Monday but really was Thursday. I was just all over.

But I managed to beat my face and get myself together for the day. The first event of the day we all (the Fashion Front) attended was “Building Your Brand Through Social Media: Blogging 101 Workshop”. 

Moderated by Marie Denee, The Curvy Fashionista and featured Panelists: The Blogger: Alissa from Stylish Curves, The Magazine: Madeline Figueroa- Jones from Plus Model Magazine, The Designer: Marina Zelner from Queen Grace.

One of the biggest points that I took from this panel was social media etiquette. We all forget sometimes that people, brands especially, are “twatching”. Just because they aren’t tweeting us or leaving fun facebook wall posts doesn’t mean they don’t know who we are.

We are all guilty of having a bad day. It’s life, and certainly stuff happens. But step away from social media and call a friend. I vow to be more pleasant myself. I know I can rant every now and then. I can’t promise you no more rants, but I will at least keep my rants fashion and beauty related. Deal? UmmKay! Deal!

 After the panel we were suppose to head to the Bloomingdales Fashion Event. Welp, we were all too busy eating, laughing, and just being blogger boos so I actually missed that event. I changed REALLY quick into Elann’s super cute and comfy dress from Nordstorm — I am hoping she will send it to me in the mail, along with her orange wedges. Off we went to the Curves, Cocktails, and Connections networking party.

The event was packed with tons of folks, great food, there was a female curvy band, and a photo booth. You know us bloggers went straight for that before anything else. A really cute concept from Catherines Iam. We all got to pick a word that best described us. I picked gorgeous but the photographer seemed to like me blowing kisses instead. FUN FUN FUN times.
