Digital Sorority Changes The Narrative For Women Bloggers Of Color

I wrote a post a while ago about not blogging alone. What I didn’t know was where that would lead us! *Squeals*

Back 2014, Christen, Kela and I created a digital influencer agency called Digital Sorority. We kept it low for the first year while we figured out our game plan. Now as we are mid-way through 2015, I’m so pleased with our progress. We’ve hosted three events, a handful of custom digital activations and we just came back from Essence Festival working exclusively with My Black Is Beautiful, Magnolia Makeup and Verizon Wireless (don’t worry, I will overload your timelines with those updates tomorrow). So when I read the article in Madame Noire’s business section I let a few thug tears shed.

Digital Sorority Fosters Community For Women Bloggers MadameNoireIt’s so important for me to surround myself with women who are making their dreams come true. It’s even more important for those women to look like me. I know someone is going to say why just women of color, why not all women. Well. Why not? For so long women of color have been overlooked, shamed, not good enough…I could keep typing but I will just say that it’s time to celebrate our greatness. Period.

It’s time for us to support each other’s efforts and we’re using Digital Sorority as the hub to success for women bloggers of colors. For more information about Digital Sorority click here.

XO to Madame Noire for sharing our little start-up story. Read the full article here ♥
